Breaking Through the Veil

As you come upon a new door to open, do you hesitate?  Do you quietly approach and listen first, fearing what may be on the other side?  Why not knock and see who opens that door?  If you have even a modest amount of faith in your own power as a divine being, you will be pleased to note that there is always something wonderful waiting for you on the other side!  It is like a patronage to a holy site, when you come and knock on that door that is inside of you.  You are paying homage to the One who always is available and is always there to open that door to you.   Why do you wait until you are sad, lonely, rejected or hurt to come crawling to the door?  When you have someone here who is ready and open for you to come inside and receive love, tenderness, compassion and healing.  Someone here is ready to give you everything you could possibly want and all you have to do is come and get it!  You see?  There is really no mystery any more about who you are or where you stand in the great mystery of Life.  There is nothing more to know right now other than you are being held, suspended by a life force that is benevolent, loving and kind.  It has only one thing to ask of you and that is, that you become who you are.  Awaken now to the person, the being you are inside of you.  And as for this discussion, we will remind you quickly:  faith filled and ever present in the Now you are both male and female, negative and positive, hard and soft, Yin and Yang.  Both the old and the young, the new and the experienced. You are the Alpha and the Omega.  Both sides of all that is are You.  Here and Now I charge you with being this in reality, in the flesh.  Embrace all of You.

Mid-Life Awakening - Not a Crisis!

Just as a baby must come into this world knowing only what it brought with it from another dimension and has to learn about the physical world and its physical body, so too do you upon reaching the threshold of what you would call "mid-life" come to a new place where you have brought with you all that you have learned from being in this physical world and body and now must learn what you can about your true nature.
This is where the rubber meets the road, spiritually speaking.  In this time of your life, for some earlier and for some later, there is a place where you have attained mastery over this physical world.  You know your body and what it can do, you know the place where you live and work, the people in your circles of friends and family, and you know the extent of your experience having lived the number of years you have.  What you may not know yet or what you may begin feeling the need to learn is who you really are.

Underneath the cloak of the body and the mind is a further description of you that encompasses all that you were, are and will be.  It is the Universal body that you are which demands now to become known to you as intimately as you know any other thing about yourself at this point.  the Universal body is a body of light and thought, emotion and wisdom gained from countless incarnations into various existences not only on an earthly plane, but in other worlds and universes.  You are a multi-dimensional, multi-universal being who is composed of stardust (thought form energy) that stems from One who has dreamed you into existence.

Just as you would dream an invention in your mind, then sketch it, then calculate its dimensions, then determine its components and materials then assemble it, so too does Your Creator dream you, sketch you, compose you and play you as a part of a great symphony of individual notes in a composition of great depth and beauty.  You are so much more than you could possibly imagine, and for now, it is really only necessary that you know this and that you allow yourself to be played by the Creator in the arrangement that was intended.  Your own personality and desires lend themselves to the distinct uniqueness of your sound, however there is a place for you in the overall song.  And your note is meant to be played at a certain pitch, for a certain length and in conjunction with other notes, at times, to create harmonies.

When you are ready to move beyond what you know here in this physical world, and when you are starving for new food to eat and new nourishment, then come and call upon us.  Archangels Raziel and Sandalphon now can give you graces to enter into an apprenticeship of sorts such that you can be given the proper initiation into learning these deeper mysteries of yourself.  Stay tuned by focusing energy and attention inside of yourself first (quieting thoughts and achieving a state of purity of being still), then to Nature and the workings of her servants (bees, birds, plants, elements like water and fire and wind, etc), then to the outer world and your interaction with it.  Notice how you treat yourself and others, the words you speak, the thoughts you think and begin shifting them to harmonize with your inner self and Nature.  Miracles are in good working order these days,  and this is the key to realizing them as they are happening all around you!

Let Go and Live!

Consequences of right action are right outcomes.  When you give yourself over to living in this way, in the way of the Light, you come to realize that there are consequences to your actions.  While some would say that consequences are negative, we say they are positive and uphold the idea that with your actions you can indeed create a positive and uplifted outlook on the world in which you live.  Behaving in a way that is considered to be non judgmental, or somewhat open to others diversity and habits is to say that you are not inhabiting the mind of the world; you are inhabiting the mind of spirit or light.  When you rise above implications, that the thoughts you think and the powers you hold in your heart are here to help create your experience, then you live and understand that in all things there are consequences.  Your experiences are the consequences of your way of life.   

So bring us to the table with you when you eat and lie down in bed with us at night. Live as one of us so that you may see and understand how we view this Way.  It is the way that has been taught by many masters and it is also the way that you find your individual and collective freedom.  Your topic of letting go includes a discussion on being ever present in the now and releasing the past.  Accomplishments or lack there of are just one example of something you can indeed let go of, for in the present moment your past accomplishments mean very little.  It is what you are doing at this moment that matters to your experience.  Just as you had your satori this week in the car, Rita you have learned to let go of all connections to the past and the future. 

 In that moment you truly felt what it was like to be fully alive and timeless, a being of incredible strength and energy, light and love.  Tears flowed did they not?  Why do you suppose you convulsed in both laughter and tears?  It is because you are and were at that moment fully engaged in the now and also, realizing the benefits and joy that comes from a human experience.  It is not all pain and suffering now is it?  There are times in your life when you can glean something beneficial from any and all states of consciousness be they harmful or beneficial. And you have learned that even though this life is temporary and transitory, in that moment, you were experiencing all that life wants to give you, pure joy and love, complete with enjoyment of your senses and your body, in perfect harmony with nature and your surroundings.  What a joy it is to let go and live!

Take a Page from an Old Crone

You need only ask an old crone about life to learn what has become important and what is irrelevant.  When you reach older years, you become suddenly more in tune with yourself than at any other time in your life.  This is the blessing of old age.  For while the body may begin to break down or deteriorate, and while the abilities seem to lessen and the disabilities seem to increase, there is a dawning awareness that comes over you.  Do not fear aging.  For aging is the most precious gift you can receive.  When you are allowed to make the journey into these aged times, when you can begin to count the decades of your life on both hands, then you are in a very formidable position.  You can look at the events in your life, the good and the bad and you can see where you have made mistakes.  You can see where you have appreciated the good and when you have missed something that would have been cherished given another opportunity to live at that time in your  life.

Bring all your awareness to who you are at this time of life.  A person who has made and met many a challenge can speak from authority and knowing.  An elder is to be respected and listened to for the wisdom they impart.  For only they know the secrets of a happy life.  It can come about at any age, but it is more pronounced as you age and lose the agility and physical beauty of the outer physical body.  As you learn to lean on others for support and assistance a great measure of grace is bestowed upon you.  You are humbled. 
Take your moments as they come.  One by one.  Measure them against your heart and see where they give you joy.  Where they give you sorrow, search for the meaning of that sorrow.  Search for the lining that is around that experience which gives it a glow. For in those times when you have suffered or cried, it is precisely in those times that God has held you so very, very close.  The father does this for you. And the Mother gives you her back on which to climb upon for support, stability and nurturing.  When you feel low, hug your Mother Earth.  Give it all to her for transmutation.  She is as old as time and as enduring as all eternity.  The mother is the physical.  The father is the spiritual.  Together, they made you!  Celebrate who you are at any age and learn.  Be at peace in the present moment with who and what you are, what you have become and what you have yet to experience.  It is never  over, this journey called life.  It continues.  And you continue.  Keep smiling :-)

Leave Room for Spirit to Work For You

It's important not to get attached to the outcome of any prayer or request. You have to leave room for Spirit to work for you. If you try to narrowly define your wants and desires, then get attached to the outcome and fret when things do not come to you as you imagined it, you find yourself suffering disappointments. It is best to ask for what you desire from the standpoint of a feeling. For example, instead of saying I want to be independently wealthy and not have to work a day in my life, you could say, I desire to have days filled with activities that bring me joy and I expect all my material needs to be taken care of. This way, you're not expecting an outcome of either a lottery winning or a huge windfall from some speculative venture, but rather letting the Universe take charge of how to make you feel a true sense of freedom in whatever way It wants to make that happen for you.

If you have to question whether or not what you want is "good" for you, then you are judging yourself or not being honest with yourself. What you want is what you want. Plain and simple. If what you want is a specific person, you will have difficulty detaching from that outcome because that person has become a focal point and we cannot impose our will on another soul. In other words, you have left the Universe no avenues to give you what you want, which is a person with whom you can share an intimate loving relationship. To exclude other options is to be heavily attached to outcome which again, brings continual disappointment and frustration. It's like saying to the Universe, "I know more than you do! Now give me what I want!" None of us can ever know what is ultimately best for us. We can only follow our feeling to a place of authenticity and honesty.

This is the "map" in your heart. What we all ultimately want is to feel good, to feel loved and appreciated, to be free to engage in activities that give us joy, and to share that joy with others who we love and who love us in return. No person or situation can give you that. It arises from knowing who you are from within and trusting that by following what feels good to you is the right direction.

Natural Teachers

Show yourself to us and we will gladly take you up, higher than you have ever been, to a place where all of Nature is displayed in her perfection and glory.  As the eagle flies high above the clouds, we can sing also to you of our love for the sure footed beasts of the earth who roam and prey upon one another in an endless search for survival. But the eagle stands out as a testament to what you can achieve.  When first motivated by a higher purpose, you begin to stretch your wings and, not knowing what lies beneath you, taking a leap of faith into the air hoping and wondering how you shall become one with the wind and use it to float effortless on its buffets and gales.  So we say to you now: Achieve this feeling of the freedom that the eagle offers to you.  Our feathers are worn into the pattern for which they serve the highest purpose, flight up to the higher realms.  This is why you have pictured us such, with large full feathered wings that give the impression of flight, but ours is not the flight of the eagle, but the flight of energy and light, higher into the realms from which we all must return some day.

Take heart, dear ones, you have to understand that all life is created for you to enjoy and for you to savor. And there comes with it also  a gradual wearing away until the body is no longer able to support your spirit and it too gives way into the great bosom of earth.  For all of us have this within us, to live fully, fly high as the eagle; see the totality of all that is and to begin once again the climb to even higher levels of understanding and love.  Be brave and follow your heart.  It is only here one time now this moment to insure your happiness and continued travels.  Live in the moment with your friends in nature, the bird and the dolphins, the mammoth and the dinosaur.  All came and will go to into another form.   Evolve along this path, and see yourself reflected in the nature that surrounds you.

For as the birds build their nest and raise their young, they drink from the fountain and eat what they find.  You are the same and also different.  Your thoughts give rise to perceptions of problems, insufficiencies.  You are the only ones who do this.  The beings in the natural world go on, without a shadow of a doubt as to their ability to BE now.  Live like this and see yourself in those beings.  Strive to be like them.  You are supported and loved immensely.

Tarot and Runes - tools for divination that work best together

For some reason, I have been feeling drawn to learn about and understand Tarot.  Just as last year I felt draw to learn about runes, I see now that these methods of divination are related, and, are as ancient as you can get when it comes to finding tools for self discovery, introspection and spiritual growth.

I have always felt that each individual has a responsibility to dig deeper into the meaning of their lives, to ask questions of themselves such as, "why am I here?" and "who am I".   It goes without saying that in the process of asking these questions I have been opened up to a variety of spiritual teachers, to abilities I didn't know I had, and to a new way of perceiving and responding to life that for me is all about experiencing joy in the NOW and serving others.

When I was doing my daily meditations this morning, I felt called to select a rune.  I chose:

Algiz: Rune of Protection and Opportunity

Algiz means “sedge.” It is associated with opportunity for growth, safe refuge and protection. It represents a successful quest, awareness, wisdom, vision and clarity. These are the qualities that tie Algiz with the Hermit card for in the safe refuge of withdrawal and solitude the Hermit follows an inner quest for wisdom, vision and growth. 


This Rune is related to the Tarot card The Hermit. 
 

According to a fabulous Tarot site, The Hermit can be understood as:  "I have seen it all, I have done it all, and now I have chosen a life of solitary contemplation. I have found that the fire of truth burns within me, and my greatest joy is finding the stillness within so I may be at one with my Source.
I have withdrawn deep into the woods, for my connection with nature still feeds my soul. Seekers of the truth come to me, and I welcome pilgrims, teaching them to connect with their own divinity.
My concern is no longer so much with self, for I have found my genuine self and am secure in my value as an individual. I realize now that my greater responsibility is to the collective . My spiritual energy contributes to the evolution of the human spirit."

How interesting that I was feeling this so exactly and that when combined, the rune and the tarot make for a very accurate assessment of my current state of being.

I encourage you to take some time to look into the uses of these two tools.  Pick up a sack of Rune tiles at a book store or shop and pull one out, or just visit Runemaker.com  and go to the bottom of the page to see the list of rune symbols.  Select one that resonates with you and read the meaning.  I love doing this as a practice because it helps me look deeper into areas of myself and gives me a practice for further study.
